Welcome to the N3HF IRLP Repeater located in Ocean City Maryland, this repeater provides coverage within a 35 mile radius of Ocean City. Coverage extends west to Salisbury to the north, Lewes Delaware and to the south, Chincoteague Virginia. The repeater operates on a frequency of 443.450 MHz out / 448.450 MHz In with a PL tone of 151.4Hz. The Repeater is located on top of the Seawatch Condominium which is also collocated with the N3KTX-8 APRS Digipeater.
The IRLP node also supports the N3HF-5 APRS IGATE which is located by the courtesy of the Ocean City Fire Department at the 15th street Firehouse. The APRS (Automatic Postion Reporting System) IGATE gates Weather bulletins from the National Weather Service in the event of any severe weather conditions. The repeater also provides as a backup resource for Amateur Radio operators to provide communications in the event of an emergency situation, such as hurricanes, rescue operations, and evacuation. The APRS provides a means of storm tracking and vehicle movement for volunteer emergency personnel. All visiting amateur operators are welcome to use the repeater and the IRLP / Echo/IRLP functions.
